As an emollient, it helps replenish surface lipids and soften the skin, supporting that supple, nourished feeling without turning your face into an oil slick.
CALM and NIGHT both put it to work.

Your barrier’s built-in bodyguards.
Ceramides aren’t some fancy thing skincare invented. Your skin already contains them.
They’re lipids naturally found in the outermost layer of the skin, where they work alongside cholesterol and fatty acids as part of the skin barrier, helping keep moisture in and the outside world out.
When those surface lipids are depleted, skin can feel dry, rough and generally a bit unhappy. Ceramides in skincare help replenish those lipids and support a healthy skin barrier.
START and BOOST contain Ceramide NP, while NIGHT brings together a multi-ceramide complex for its overnight formula.

Plot twist: it’s not actually an oil.
Jojoba is technically a liquid wax, made predominantly from wax esters rather than the triglycerides found in most plant oils.
Those wax esters have similarities to components found in the skin’s natural sebum, giving Jojoba its lightweight, skin-compatible feel. It’s also naturally very stable, making it a clever addition to an oil-based cleanser.
In RESET, it joins the oil blend that helps dissolve makeup, SPF and oily grime while keeping the post-cleanse situation soft and comfortable.

Funny name. Very serious little oil.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil has an unusual fatty-acid profile dominated by long-chain fatty acids, making it remarkably resistant to oxidation compared with many botanical oils.
For skin, it’s a lovely emollient, helping soften, smooth and condition while contributing to the silky glide of a formula.
You’ll find it tucked into NIGHT doing exactly that.

No wonder you’ll find it in CALM.

Tiny ingredients with a big skincare reputation.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the building blocks our bodies use to make proteins.
BOOST contains Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, two cosmetic peptides commonly paired in formulas designed to support smoother, firmer and healthier-looking skin.
And one useful bit of ingredient-list knowledge: some peptides are designed to be used at very low concentrations.
Tiny on an ingredient list doesn’t automatically mean tiny in purpose.

Plant lipids meet skin lipids.
Phytosterols are naturally occurring compounds found in plants. Structurally, they’re similar to cholesterol, one of the lipids naturally present within our skin barrier.
In skincare, they’re used for their conditioning and barrier-supporting properties, particularly alongside oils, ceramides and other lipids.
You’ll find them hanging with exactly that crowd in BOOST and NIGHT.

A tall drink of water for cranky skin.
Panthenol is the alcohol form of Vitamin B5 and acts as a humectant, meaning it helps attract and hold water in the upper layers of the skin.
It’s also a useful skin-conditioning ingredient, helping skin feel softer, smoother and more comfortable.
Naturally, we put this one in CALM. The clue really is in the name.

CLADOSIPHON OKAMURANUS
Straight outta the sea.
This brown seaweed originates from the waters around Okinawa, Japan and is naturally rich in complex marine polysaccharides, including fucoidan.
Seaweed extracts are used in skincare for their hydrating, conditioning and antioxidant properties, helping support soft, comfortable-looking skin.
Which made it a pretty obvious addition to the Pop whose entire job is to CALM things down.

Yep, let’s talk about them.
Silicones are a family of cosmetic ingredients made using silicon, oxygen and other elements. Depending on the type, they can behave very differently, which is why the word silicone doesn’t describe one single ingredient or one single job.
In skincare, they’re particularly useful for creating slip, spreadability and that silky, velvety finish without requiring a formula to feel excessively oily.
They’re also very handy in water-free capsule formulations, where the formula needs to spread beautifully while remaining stable and compatible with its tiny shell.
In other words: they’re there because they have a job to do.

Your skin already speaks its language.
Squalane is a lightweight emollient related to squalene, a lipid naturally present in human sebum.
Cosmetic squalane is the more stable, hydrogenated version. It helps soften and condition skin and reduce moisture loss, without the heaviness associated with some traditional facial oils.
In RESET, it helps make cleansing feel less stripping. In NIGHT, it brings the silky overnight nourishment.
Very useful little thing.

RETINYL PALMITATE
The night-shift worker, protected until you pop it.
Vitamin A is one of skincare’s best-known ingredient families.
BOOST and NIGHT use Retinyl Palmitate, a gentler Vitamin A derivative used in skincare to support smoother, more refined-looking skin and improve the appearance of texture and signs of ageing over time.
Like other members of the Vitamin A family, Retinyl Palmitate benefits from thoughtful formulation and protection from light, air and heat to help maintain its stability.
That’s where the Pop gets clever.
Instead of repeatedly opening a bottle and exposing the entire formula, each dose stays individually sealed inside its capsule until you’re ready for it. Open one, use it, and the rest stay tucked away.
BOOST and NIGHT also pair Vitamin A with conditioning lipids and barrier-supporting ingredients, because one ingredient doesn’t need to do all the work.
POP NOTE: As a precaution, topical Vitamin A/retinoid products are generally avoided during pregnancy and when planning pregnancy. Use SPF the following day.

ASCORBYL TETRAISOPALMITATE
Freshly popped antioxidant goodness.
Vitamin C is a well-known antioxidant, but there’s more than one form of it in skincare.
START uses Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, an oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative chosen for its stability and compatibility with our water-free formula. It provides antioxidant support while helping skin look brighter and more even.
And this is another place where our single-dose format makes a lot of sense.
Rather than repeatedly opening one bottle and exposing the whole formula to the outside world, each dose stays individually sealed until you’re ready to use it.
Pop it open. Apply it. The rest stay sealed.
Protected until you pop it.
Morning Pop understood the assignment.

TOCOPHEROL + TOCOPHERYL ACETATE
The antioxidant sidekick that gets around.
Vitamin E refers to a family of fat-soluble compounds. On a skincare ingredient list, you’ll commonly see forms including Tocopherol and Tocopheryl Acetate.
Vitamin E is used for its antioxidant and skin-conditioning properties. Its oil-soluble nature also makes it right at home in our predominantly water-free Pops and alongside the botanical oils and lipids used throughout the range.
And this one really does get around.
You’ll find a form of Vitamin E across the entire current collection.
